Community Group Membership
Community Group Membership: Strengthen Your Impact
Does your group share our commitment to environmental sustainability? By becoming an associated affiliate group, your group can amplify its impact through collaboration with Horsforth Climate Action. We aim to grow community membership as widely as possible across Horsforth but we are unable to accept membership requests from groups with party political affiliation.
Groups should aspire to conduct activities that sympathise in some way with HCA aims:
- to promote community-wide action to tackle climate change,
- be nature friendly and
- socially just.
Community group membership provides:
- Free Membership
- Access to Funding: Secure financial support for projects aligned with our goals, enhancing your group’s capacity to implement meaningful change, or be signposted to additional funding resources
- Shared Resources and Training: Benefit from shared publicity opportunities, volunteer recruitment, and specialised training sessions that extend your group’s skills.
- Opportunity to advertise your group and its activities and events on our website and social media, potentially giving your group greater community exposure.
- Event Collaboration: Take the lead at one of our HCA Saturdays, showcasing your group’s initiatives and engaging directly with the community.
- Governance participation: Your group membership will entitle you to one vote per group at AGMs and other decision making gatherings. If you are a individual member in your own right, you will still be able to vote.
Take Action Today
Your involvement at any level contributes to a larger movement towards sustainability and justice. Every newsletter sign-up, every volunteer hour, and every project idea helps propel us forward.
