Wine and the Willow at Hoc Loco

Informal and fun willow-weaving workshops designing headdresses and sculptures for Horsforth’s first Green Festival taking place in September 2025.

Hosted by Horsforth Climate Action in collaboration with Hoc Loco, these workshops will use natural materials and provide the opportunity to learn traditional techniques.

Willow structures created at the workshops will be colourfully decorated at a later date by young people, to be worn as part of a visual parade at the Green Festival.

A professional artist with experience of willow weaving will lead the workshops and be supported by volunteers. Subject to weather conditions, the workshops may take place outdoors.

Hoc Loco is an independent bar and bottle shop in a sunny corner unit serving Italian-style small plates alongside craft beer, natural wines and artisan ciders. Excellent no and low alcohol options are available. Drinks are not included with the ticket.

All materials will be provided. The event is Pay As You Feel with a recommended donation of £5 towards artist costs and materials that will support the sustainability of the Green Festival.
