Where is nature being helped in Horsforth? Our new nature map is live!

We are mapping those public green space sites where action is being taken to help nature.

These initiatives vary from planting trees, relaxed mowing, establishing more diverse flower communities for pollinators and creating ponds.

Using the map

The map can be opened in a separate tab by clicking on this Map Link.

There are two layers to the map, one showing some of the more important different habitat types around Horsforth and one (the red discs) showing particular sites where nature is being helped. Clicking on a feature in either layer causes a pop-up with further information.

The map can be panned by dragging and there are zoom-in and zoom-out buttons in the top left corner (you may need to use the scroll bars on the bottom and right side of the map to see these).

We are hoping to update the map periodically and if you think of a public site where action has been taken to help nature and which warrants showing on the map please email, info@horsforthclimateaction.org ideally with a photo of the site.
