Transport is the largest emitting sector of greenhouse gases in the UK. By encouraging walking, wheeling and cycling we can help reduce this source of emissions.
The design and layout of our streets can make a difference to how easy these journeys can be. Join us to look at how some of our key streets in Horsforth could be improved for walking, wheeling and cycling. We’ll carry out a review based on the Healthy Streets® methodology to assess how our streets could be improved.
Saturday 25 May 10:30-11:30: Town Street. Meet outside Horsforth Library
Saturday 15 June 10.30 – 11.30: New Road Side. Meet outside Zerø Muda, 85 New Road Side
Tuesday 18 June 5.30 – 6.30: Station Road. Meet at seating area next to Hong Kong Supercook
The only experience you need is experience of walking, wheeling or cycling on any of these streets. The information we collect will be used to map where improvements could make these journeys safer, easier and more convenient. The findings will be passed to Leeds City Council’s Connecting Leeds team to inform their recent consultation on local streets.
